Confusion was the first reaction to the TMZ item in which former Cowboys quarterback and CBS broadcaster Tony Romo accepted "full responsibility" for his recent OWI arrest in Milwaukee, in a statement issued by an unnamed spokesperson.

Milwaukee files an open-bottle citation on Tony Romo from the July OWI stop as his CBS return remains on hold.

Romo, 46, was pulled over in his Jeep on July 23 and later charged after performing poorly in sobriety tests, with humiliating bodycam footage of the incident going viral.
