Snapping turtle eggs set to hatch on Burlington’s North Beach
Burlington Parks, Recreation and Waterfront issued a "Turt alert" on Facebook yesterday, warning that hatchlings may be spotted in the coming weeks.
Burlington Parks and Recreation Dept. uses orange netting to guard eggs ahead of hatching.
The baby turtles, no larger than a quarter, could be hatching any day now. If you see any turtles, give them space while they make their journey to the water.
